SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA-TV) - The training continues for Shreveport Olympic weightlifter Kendrick Farris.  During training on Monday, Farris clean and jerked 215 kilograms (473 pounds).  The current Olympic Record for Farris' weight class is 214 kilograms.

"My goal is to see what we finish in the snatch and hopefully on the second attempt in my clean and jerk be able to medal on my second attempt and if it doesn't go that way, you know, push for a medal on the third," states Farris.

"The way I got it on my mind, medal on the second attempt and third attempt, go for the win at the buzzer."

Farris leaves for his second Olympic Games on Thursday, July 19th.
